Shelter

To survive in mountainous terrain, one needs both orientation and refuge. Shelter is never just physical, it is social, ecological, and political.

This sub-theme explores hospitality as a spatial practice: mountain huts, shared meals, communal mapping, and systems built on collective care. What makes a refuge accessible? How do shared infrastructures, from bivouacs to open mapping platforms, embody democratic ideals?

Participants experiment with hosting, nourishing, and mapping as acts of mutual support in a changing environment.
