As dusk settles over the hills around Vaals, the second edition of Hartstocht invites you on a slow, intimate hike and dinner where poetry, love and navigation intertwine: gently, and without pink balloons or compulsory romance.

Guided by a specially designed Hartstocht map with poetic instructions rather than conventional directions, you move through landscape and language at the same time. The walk is not about distance or speed, but about attention: to place, to words, and to whoever happens to be walking alongside you (including yourself).

Following the spirit of the successful first edition, the evening unfolds quietly and deliberately, with moments of shared reading, silence, and gentle conversation. Come with a partner, a friend, a sibling, a chosen family member, or come alone. This is a Valentine’s activity for people who don’t necessarily do Valentine’s.
